ConCourt Rules "Reasonable Chastisement" Unconstitutional

Sept 18, 2019 -- The Constitutional Court of South Africa has ruled that the common law defense of reasonable and moderate parental chastisement of children is unconstitutional. It's a unanimous judgment and the court is of the view that there are effective ways to discipline children without the use of #corporalpunishment.
