Child murder is the unnatural death of a child under the age of 18 years for which another person is responsible.

1014 Children were murdered (SAPS 2018/2019)

There was thus an INCREASE of 2.9% in Child Murder for 2018/2019

1059 Children were victims of attempted murder (SAPS 2017/2018)

1184 Children were victims of attempted murder (SAPS 2018/2019)

There was thus an INCREASE of 11.8% of children being victims of attempted murder for 2018/2019
