The COVID-19 pandemic has had profound impact on every dimension of children’s lives in ways that will be felt for years to come.
This series of advocacy briefs highlights emerging impacts drawing on evidence from the Western Cape Province to identify opportunities to strengthen systems and better support children during the current and future crises.
We hope that the briefs will serve a valuable tool to guide those responsible for decisions about the allocation of resources and the design and delivery of services for children and families to ensure that children are better prioritised in our response and recovery plans.
The advocacy brief series was developed by the Children’s Institute, University of Cape Town in collaboration with the Children’s Hospital Trust and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation.
